Have you heard about Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland in Sevierville? Along with the three other U.S. locations, it’s the world’s largest drive-through, fully synchronized, LED Christmas light and music show. And it’s just a short drive from Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg.
There are, arguably, a lot of places to look at beautiful Christmas lights in the Smokies. Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge both have their own fantastic light shows. So what makes this one so different? Here’s a quote from Shadrack’s About page:
You may wonder, why go to such great lengths to create an attraction of this magnitude? It’s simple; we uncovered a passion and followed our dream. After physically crafting each element, placing and bracing them, tediously programming hundreds of thousands of lights to perform with music, we managed to light up the nights!

Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland is held at the Tennessee Smokies Baseball Stadium, located at 3540 Line Dr. in Kodak. The lights display runs through January 6 every night from dusk until 10 p.m. or later.
Cost is by car — $20 per family car, more for larger, group vehicles. One neat thing Shadrack’s does is support local charities with money earned at the display. This year, money will go to Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee, which distributes food to about 158,000 hungry people per month.
After driving through the light show, visitors can stop at Santa’s Village, which has a free petting zoo and lots of things you can pay for:
- Pony and camel rides ($5)
- Photos with Santa
- Christmas tree lot, with wreaths for sale, as well
- Refreshments (hot cocoa, apple cider, funnel cakes, Christmas cookies, kettle corn, etc)
- Kids’ Santa Train
- Inflatable slide
- Ferris wheel
- Trampoline bungee jump
